Our new guest team Castleford Masters are settling in well at Willowbridge Lane. The team have been very impressed with the facilities on offer and the welcome they have received from everyone at the club.
They held regular training sessions before hosting a Covid-19 regulations-compliant practice game to explain the rules and masters' ethos to the new recruits to the team. All the players and referee were tested before being allowed to play.
The game was followed by a social evening with the players enjoying pizza from club sponsors, Prima Pizza, and beers on the new covered terrace and outside seating areas. Future plans include further social gatherings and a possible friendly game against our Seniors.
The Masters would welcome any of our club members aged 35 and over to come down and try this social version of Rugby League. They train Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm. (There is no commitment to train in order to play.)
