Club Membership process for Juniors and Girls

We are acutely aware of financial difficulties faced by everyone and as a result we have maintained family club membership in line with previous seasons. However, as the club’s overheads have increased it is important that we are able to collect all necessary membership fees and we streamline administration; all players (through family membership) must become a club member and also be registered (affiliated) with the RFU - all players training and playing games do need to go through this process for full insurance and governance purposes.

In summary, the process for membership for all players in Age Grade rugby (under 18) is; 1.    Club membership – details must be completed by a parent/carer 2.    Payment of family membership fee of £40 per season 3.    200 Club membership per year 4.    Affiliation to the RFU Club membership This is an online process to assist administration. Please follow this link to the club website https://www.castlefordrufc.com/membership . You’ll find a Juniors and Girls Welcome Pack which you should view and keep - there is no need to print it. Also, you’ll see a Juniors and Girls Membership Form – please complete this Google Document. Payment of club membership fee The Membership Form does ask for payment of the £40 Family Membership for the season by bank transfer into the club's account which creates a better audit trail through completion of the Membership Form and direct payment to the bank.

200 Club (club development fund - rather than training subs and match fees) On the same page on the club website there are details for the 200 Club – we ask for at least one member of the family to become a member of the 200 Club. For new members an application form should be downloaded, completed and handed in at training. Payment options are outlined on the form and existing members should continue their payments. Members of the 200 Club will be allocated a 200 Club number and entered into a 200 Club Monthly Draw for 5 monetary prizes. Affiliation to the club on the RFU site (separate to club membership) As the parent/carer of a player the RFU (as the club’s governing body) now require the registration process with them to be completed by parents. An account on the RFU’s Game Management Site (GMS) has to be created and then your child added and affiliated our club, Castleford RUFC. The following links are to the RFU’s explanation of how to create an account https://help.rfu.com/support/solutions/articles/15000031982-how-do-i-create-an-account and how to add a player to that account https://help.rfu.com/support/solutions/articles/15000031972-age-grade-player-affiliation-for-a-parent-guardian . There is a guide to how to ‘re-affiliate’ an existing player https://help.rfu.com/support/solutions/articles/15000031980-renew-age-grade-child-affiliation-process as the RFU do ‘de-affiliate’ existing players and require them to be ‘re-affiliated’ each season. If there are any queries, then please have a word with your team's coach. Thanks again - your assistance is much appreciated Don't forget that our club website https://www.castlefordrufc.com/ tells you more about the club and the Juniors' Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Casrufcjuniors and Girls' Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CasRUFCGirls/ both give more of a flavour of what we're about.
