Opening of New Clubhouse

11th September opening ceremony for new clubhouse with game against a Yorkshire. In tandem with the building works (Extensions were completed to house the new bar and cellar and separately the changing rooms, boiler room, and men’s facilities) construction of the first pitch included clearance, import of 200 tons of top soil to square off the cricket circle boundaries and demolishing the old scoreboard. A further 1,300 tons of top soil purchased from Kellingley Colliery was spread to cover former tennis courts and a bowling green in order to create the second pitch
